15 Jan 2012 New Visa Waiver for Russian Visitors to Guam
In November 2011 , the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced a new visa waiver program for Russian visitors to the U.S. Territory of Guam. The new visa waiver program is also known as “parole.”
On a case-by-case basis under parole authority, Russian visitors are permitted to visit Guam without US visas. They may visit for business or pleasure and stay up to 45 days.
Eligible Russian nationals also may obtain a visa waiver to visit the Commonwealth of tie Northern Mariana Islands for up to 45 days as tourists.
The new visa waiver program is valid only for Russian visitors to Guam and the Russian citizens wanting to visit other parts of the still must apply for US. visas in advance of their travel. These visitors may not work while in the US.
The US. Department of Homeland Security began implementing the new visa waiver program in Guam
on January 15, 2012.
